Hi

I recently bought a Hoover Ranger U4014 (top fill) with a tatty vinyl outer bag.

I would like to experiment and fit the largest cloth bag it would take.

Could anyone advise what outer cloth bag and from which other upright cleaner, would be the LARGEST I could fit ? Maybe something like the bag from a U912 ?

Thanks
Derek

Not sure

Im no Hoover expert. The commercial bags red or black with shakeout top fill and zipper versions for around$20-$30 may fit if you have the clamp assembelly.
Henry company on eBay has cheap aftermarket bags.

Can anyone from the UK advise if I could fit a very large cloth bag to a U4014 Ranger please ? How about the large cloth bag from a U912 ? Or maybe you know of another upright hoover whose bag would fit a U4014 ?

Thanks
Derek

I am surprised at the lack of replies to my request for help !

I have often read on here in the past about things like sizes of cloth outer bags and adaptability for other upright vacs. But only one reply so far !

Can anyone at least let me know what different types of outer cloth bags would fit a U4014 Ranger ? For example..would a bag for a U912 Commercial fit a U4014 ?

Thanks for your help folks !

Hi Les in Utah !

Thanks for trying to help me buddy.

I am not too knowledgeable about fittings on any vac of any sort, but what I am trying to find out is if it would be possible for me to fit a cloth outer bag from a DIFFERENT model of Hoover Upright to the one I own, (which is a U4014 "Ranger") without having to do any altering to the fitting mechanism ?

The U4014 for all its size and uses, only comes with a pretty small size top fill outer bag !

The "Hoover Commercial U912" for example, has a HUGE cloth bag, so I wondered if I could obtain a U912 outer cloth bag, or one of a similar size, and fit it straight onto my U4014 ?

In answer to your kind post, I have never heard of a "U series" ?

It would be great if someone from the UK actually owns a U4014 and could tell me for sure, if a large cloth bag from a different model of upright, would fit my U4014 ?

Thanks again Les !
Best Wishes
Derek

Your welcome. I know how to narrow the top of the bag. If it has a bag opening it would require a little modification. If it's thin material or spring in top I can via email how to modify. It's very simple and very small amount of sewing. If you know if too of bag on yours is a spring collar or like a bonine better described as dress shirt collars the front section is called bonine. If you know this email me I'll tell you how to fix any bag in less than 10 minutes.
lesinutah@hotmail.com Hoover bag in info.
I just not putting out in public but I know how to make it fit.
Thanks for commitments it's like a ghost town and crickets make more noise than posters.

Hoover Model 70 Convertible

Hello, my model 70's outer bags zipper is stuck. Where can I find a bag for this thing? I've been searching for hours with part number 43677322 but everywhere has it unavailable. Any suggestions?

Null

Hi Les,

Thank you for the reply. I performed an advanced search on eBay indicating to only show auctions to include "henryvacs" the search yielded zero results. I added "bag" to the search along with the eBay ID. I even dropped the "s" in "henryvacs" and still nothing....

Hey

Yes all they do are bids. If you message the seller he will pull the listing and send offer to you. I've done 3 orders like that and just received it yesterday.
