Confused on date of our Kirby Sanitronic 80. Thought they were made from 1967-1669. Our serial number is 758063 I thought the second and third number were the year. But 58 doesn’t make sense. Any help please |

This is a very difficult thing to decipher for all Kirbys made before the Heritage 1HD, which was the first machine to include a date code in the serial number.
We will have to find documentation relating to Kirby models from the Model C of 1934 up to the Tradition of 1979-81, to really know. They will only be relevant as to month and year built. Your D50 was likely built sometime in February 1965. ~Ben |
