Hi, I am curious what you know about this vacuum cleaner. I picked one up at a Habitat Restore place weeks ago. I did find a picture of it online since I have not started to work on it.

It resembles a Samsung Upright like it was rebranded.

Let me know.

These early Miele uprights were actually made by Panasonic in a plant in Spain. Similar 220-volt versions branded as Panasonic were sold in the UK during the 1990’s, if I am not mistaken.

Is basically a Panasonic with Miele's name on it. The Germans where not sold on the idea that an upright vacuum would sell at the time . So they contracted Panasonic to test the waters in certain markets. There are several versions of this they were made in red white and blue. The last version being red . The clutch switch mechanisms, bag doors very on them. Some machines also had a cord rewind.

It's a very interesting thing to have in 2019.

Riccar did the same with their early vacuums too, they had Panasonic make them before they sold enough to have their own in-house factory.
