You vacuum your carpet. Put in neutral highest carpet setting rotate belt lifter and take belt off.
Put carpet shampooer nozzle on and turn belt lifter attaching to spindle. Put tray on and waste tray. Put your cap or two of shampoo add water to line. Install resivoir to waste tray and attach tank to emtor and rotate. Make sure hoses are secure turn tank to desired setting and lower light hood and shampoo. If you think any shampoo system is a little bit of a setup. I have a couple Bissell carpet shampooers and there alot more thorough than Kirby. They also shampoo carpet. The only difference between avalir shampooer and prior years is waste tray all other connections are the same. If I have really bad carpet I'm vacuuming with Kirby first. I'll use Bissell because it will get everything out of carpet. I'll let dry and vacuum again. I use Kirby so it doesn't get as bad to where I have to use Bissell. If an animal is using it for a while and I didn't notice I have to use Bissell. Les |

I have an aquamate haven't used it yet but Bissell symphony cleans and no wax residue better than anything we have tried. The oak is 13 years old and we used to strip wax polish twice a year. Four years ago we used symphony on it and it took all wax residue off and oak looks brand new. I'd recommend that I have not tried aquamate so I can't judge but a 12lb steam clean mop/vacuum is a helluva lot easier to move around and use over any rainbow or Kirby.
