I liked the setup of this Cart Vacuum, thought it was the most genius thing at the time when I first saw this.

It definitely has it's place. Some of the offices we clean are next to impossible to vacuum with an up right or even a back pack vacuum. Just not enough room to move around.

In a church is the ideal place with all the pews. Be it carpeted or hard floors. Cleaning under pews is a bear of a job.

The Greenville Sew&Vac dealer here has a carted "Port-A-Vac" of his own design.Uses a standard janitor cart with an MD series 80 I think it is central vacuum mounted on the cart.No powernozzle-for the carpets the unit is cleaning-not needed or desired by customers. The Electrolux powernozzle works well but the noise it makes is ---IRRATATING!Lux needs to redesign those so they are quieter-esp for commercial use.You can use the Volt powernozzle with Mikes vacuum if desired-Yes-I have two of his machines-one of them is a one of a kind built for a customer -he didn't want it when completed so it got sold to me.This one features a ProTeam FS6 backpack vacuum.Use this a lot.I also have one of his machines with the MD central vacuum.Use bags in mine.I DO NOT want a "bagless" unit of this sort-remember you are picking up GALLONS of stuff at a time--do you want to expose yourself to this???? I wouldn't. The MD vaccum bag hold 6 gallons of debris-the MD "Blue Bag" which is near HEPA quality. You can empty the machine in moments without getting dirty.Look up the GreenVille Sew&Vacuum and you can see the machine. It is like the ones shown here.Like Mikes the best.Lately MD has made a version of their vacuum just for Mikes carted machine-has a full bypass motor.Have even built these with him-and worked with him to build the one I bought!!!Saved mony that way!

Oh yes ordered two of Mikes Pot-A Vacs to use at work in the transmitter plant. These are great here-the machine stays in the transmirtter hall asle and you take the hose and tool with you into the transmitter. The building maintenance staff likes them,.too.Have had to replace the hoeses on ours.

Witch is why i converted my 16 gallon shop vac wet/dry vacuum to have a 3 hose end to end .
Each hose is 8 foot long so 8x3 is 24 feet .Makes cleaning halls ,cars or my big basement stairs or the basement it self s o easy i can see where this would be beneficial .

portable central vacs

There are a few units that would work well for this application. The vacumaid garage vac pro does not have a pipe in-take, just a hose inlet on the front, works with any central vacuum hose so an electric hose and power nozzle could be used.

And then there's the Drainvac Atomik, this is a smaller unit but it's still very powerful, it can be used portable or connected to pipes.

I have both of these vacuums and they are awesome, ok, all this talk about these units, I think I'm going to grab my central vacuum hose and do some cleaning with both of them.
