I noticed this while looking at Simplicity's lineup. Apparently, their bagless upright has the same handle as the Bissell AeroSwift. This leads me to believe that some of the Simplicity line is made by Bissell, or their manufacturing company. Tom Gasko, is there any truth to this? The first pic is the Simplicity's handle, and the second pic is the Bissell's handle.

It's more like the same Chinese company makes them for who ever wants.

I heard Google answers questions just like these. Look up Bissell and look up simplicity. If they have same ownership your right if not it's coincidence. I'm not trying to be a smart ellic. Just enlightening you a little.

I think it would be tough to find info on what company supplies Bissell and Simplicity with their machines. Neither company owns manufacturing facilities in China, as far as I'm aware they both contract with suppliers to make their Chinese made products.

I know that the Bissell Aeroswift was made by EUP of Suzhou, China. They have made most of the more recent units in Bissell's lineup. Tacony is listed as one of the companies that has ordered vacuum cleaners from them, so they likely were both made by EUP.

some time late last year/early this year taconys contract to use the fuller brush name expired and was never renewed so simplicity is going to be the brand of cheap bagged and bagless vacuums that where fuller brush and the premium machines are going to be exclusively riccar. Unfortunately imo the premium look that riccar had over simplicity is being discontinued for the simplicity styled machines and most if not all of the tandem air machines have lost there color in favor of a black and gold scheme that does not look good at all. It also looks like the models of each series have been paired down. I heard that tacony was having some changes in management so it could be that has something to do with the branding changes.

I'm one of the casualties of Tacony's new management. I can tell you ALL the horror stories of what's going on at the factory, and all the people they fired. Suffice it to say it's NOT the same company it was two years ago. I dislike them so much, I won't carry any of their products in my new store. Come talk to me, I'll tell you the whole story.

the story

Tom, unless you are under a nondisclosure agreement, you should just tell the story here, I'm sure we would find it interesting. I'm guessing the new management wanted to cut costs and they did so any way they could, getting rid of employees and sacrificing the quality of their products. It will hurt them in the end, if it isn't already.
