Found this nice vacuum today at a steal price. I've fired it up and everything seemes to work including the power drive. Anything I should be on the lookout for as far as issues?

One thing I know is to not pick it up by the handle grip like you would with modern vacuums. The power drive is run by a wire to the handle grip. Most commonly with all model years of the power drive system, people picking it up by the handle too much can stretch that cable out to the point where it does not actuate the power drive or breaks the mounts.

Can't add anything really, but very nice machine. I've seen a couple of these around in the lower end version, but I'd want that electronic model if I had one.

Did it come with the dusting brush and crevice tool for the Helpmate? They mount on that bracket on top of the bag.

I was wondering what that bracket was for. I took a quick glance through the manual online and saw them, but unfortunately it didn't come with the tools. Not a huge loss but would have been nice.

Concept 2

Looks very nice and was their most deluxe!
As above just use the built in carry handle.
What I have seen with real life customers includes--
--tearing bag off and leaving as many as 5 cardboard collars on fill tube when brought in for service.
--setting height to low that wears bristles and cleans worse.
--string,hair & thread build up on brush bearings causing friction, heat & melted housing.
--cord not under cord clip at upper handle and falling to floor during use causing break at female plug that also power hand vac.
Happy Hoovering
Jimmy

In my experience...

Move the handle up and down. You should see the actuator arm moving with the handle's motion. If not, then your cable is snapped and you would need a replacement. If the belt to the transmission is snapped, then there won't be any movement whatsoever. Powerdrive belts are 160147 and agitator belts are 38528-008.
Happy Hoovering.

Great cleaner!

Very heavy, but good. I have 2 or 3. The Quadraflex brushes are wonderful.

I had two.

I love mine. Bob fixed the one I gave to my friend Corey. He tore it apart and used electrical contact cleaner to fix the problems I was having with the circuit board.

One of the quietest Concepts I've used.

Some think of theses cleaners as

Not quite. While the Dial-A-Matic had it's flaws, Hoover reverting back to a dirty air system was a classic case of three steps forward two steps back. I'd love to know how much Hoover made selling out the clean air patent to Panasonic.

I've often wondered that too.

Can you imagine IF Hoover kept the clean air with this quadroflex, etc???

Now THAT would've been the perfect Hoover upright. It could've been the Dial-A-Matic II! 😄

With

LED lighting, and "Windtunnel technology" , and a HEPA bag. That would be a "monster vac"!
