Hey
I bought a salesman binder of early 90s royals. It has every model. It has the vacuum in headline. This off looking vacuum has been there for a couple months. I was back yesterday. I seen a sweet oreck magnesium silver. It was a sweet looking vacuum. I turned it on and holy ish that sounded like motor was on last legs and was loud. They also had x platinum oreck. I have a riccar Supra lite 4. It's a 2 speed 5.5 amp vacuum. It's light and awesome. This oreck is equipped with a 3.5 amp motor and brush roll is worn.
Then there was this. I thought $7.00 what the hay I'll try it out. It's also equipped with a 3.5 amp motor. It's a stick vac plastic crap.
I turned it on today. Holy cow this has a triangle nozzle with castors. It has no brush rolls. It's straight suction motor. This vacuum seriously has power. I used it and you have to pull across as it's suction to floor is very strong. The carpet you have to push but on hardwood or tile it glides and ducks everything up. I first bought thinking maybe I can make a little money. It's not going to be sold. It's a sweet vacuum and it's bagged. I may fit other vacuum bag on to it as the bags are expensive and rare.
I just wanted to tell about this vacuum. If u see one pick it up and try it out. I have not been suprised like that from a vacuum in a long time.

Love that Dirt Devil brochure!

I seen this vacuum at Restore once last year, but I actually thought it was some kind of mop, I didn't realize it was a vacuum!

That's cool seeing that catalog. Thanks for posting. I liked the Can Vacs with the power nozzle and the Cyclone. That was actually a rebadged Vax from UK.

Although I think the catalog is more likely 1994-95 as I don't think they made most of those in 1984-85

Very nice catalog, very good production value in that with the full color glossy pages. Could look through that for hours. Also I thought that Royal Prince was from the 50's or 60's, never realize it was that new! I see them a lot on eBay.

I also have that 12v car-power Dirt Devil too, that's a rare one to find. I'm glad I still have it, it was from before I started vacuum collecting but it will be saved now. I should try using it again.

Hey

Huskyvac test the car 12v and let me know how well it works.

I thought royal hand vacs were older.  The blue 501 I with baby blue cord is in same set as 880.

This is weird. My vacuum store is in Hammond, IN and the company is called "The Henry Company". They are no longer on Hohman Ave which is about 3 miles from their current location.

Possible this is the store? I know it is a 2nd or 3rd generation owner.

Nice find BTW.

Hey

It is 3rd generation owner. They were first dealer selling filter queen in Indiana. The person Scott is over eBay and I think web site sales. The owner who is the 3rd generation is over Scott and i know he is owner but not sure what his job entails.
I almost got a 12 inch thick royal vacuum parts catalog probably master parts catalog for all royals but I missed bidding by half an hour. The sales person I sent him a list of items I'd like to finish up a bunch of royals and he got 85% of list for me. I'm stoked because royal parts are super hard to find. The ones I got are super rare or to my knowledge are. Seems like a really honest family business who has a little niche internet sales potentially it will get bigger.

The gentlemen who helped me was fantastic and spend a lot of time talking to me about Royals. He seemed liked he was in charge. I will give them as much business as I can when something is needed.

He eluded to the fact he has a lot of Royals parts and he should be able to get whatever I need for the Royal I have with the parts (new and salvaged) from Royals he has there in his shop.

The only thing I imagine I would need next is a motor. I mean what else is there to keep them running? Housing, motor , fan. If I don’t beat it up I should have this a long long time and I would buy a new motor for it if it came to that.

Send me a link to his eBay sight. Thx !
