Brand new Commercial grade vac for $125.00 shipped. How good , or bad, could they be for a standard no thrills vacuum that is commercial quality? |

I'm not sure if it's upright or backpack. As for performance it's #2 in commercial vacuum behind proteam vacuum. Proteam is made by Emerson and sanitairre by tti which owns half the vacuum industry.
Sanitairre are built like tanks. It will perform flawlessly. Sanitairres are best selling commercial brand. I can guarantee you it will perform. Les |

Widerider, you are referring to the SC679J, yes?
I haven’t had one but I’ve heard nothing but good things about them. The SC679J is tried and true for sure. That said, you might want to consider the SC684 over the 679. For only around $50 more, you get -a cord which is 20ft longer -large rear wheels which allow the vacuum to be wheeled while it is upright -large bumper -deeper fan blades for more airflow -steel Vibragroomer II brush roll with replaceable brush strips versus the wooden/plasic Distribulator -higher amperage motor (7 amp versus 5 amp) Seems like a pretty good upgrade. |

My bad I thought after eurekas were made in Mexico on my sanitairre s667 that they were made in China hence the idea of Electrolux sanitatire eureka were made by tti. That's good to know.
To eureakaprince that's for info you seem to know quite a bit about eurekas and not many people are. I have an upright imperial and sanitairre you gave me info on in supermarket lounge about what to sell them for |

The SC679J is a good deal for sure. If you're into bargain commercial vacs, there's also the Koblenz 5 amp models and the convertible-based Hoover Guardsman (also 5 amp), both really solid options, too.
I'm very much intrigued by the Koblenz units. From what I have seen on YouTube, they might even be superior to Sanitaire's equivalents. Their easy access fan chamber system appears to be better designed and more leak-proof, for example. My next commercial vacuum might be a Koblenz... www.homedepot.com/p/Koble... As for the Guardsman...well, if you like Hoover Convertibles, you'll like the Guardsman. I'm honestly astonished that you can STILL get a Convertible brand new, and for only $156! That is shocking and I can't believe that it isn't discussed more often on this site. It must be some kind of well-kept secret, I guess. www.homedepot.com/p/Hoove... |

I don't know where your reading koblenz outperforming sanitairre. I've seen quite a few sites and sanitairre invented the technology koblenz basically copied. I've read they don't hold up and break down. Maybe it's me but koblenz isn't on same level as sanitairre. Sanitairre perfected the model koblenz basically copied it but not well enough.
Look at Amazon reviews for proof. Les |

I personally prefer the features on the Koblenzs' over the Sanitaires'. I like the metal cord hooks, the height adjuster knob is easier to move, and their fans are WAY easier to access and replace. I also like the design of the Koblenz brushrolls better. I will admit that the foot switch on the Sanitaires' is really starting to get annoying. Sanitaire to me just aren't the same like they used to be if they haven't cheapened certain parts and now that Bissell has taken over (I've had quite a bad relationship with them over the past few years). With that being said, I would now rather take a Koblenz or a Perfect (Sanitaire's copied rival) over Sanitaire.

id take my early to mid 2000s sanitaire sc667a blue line over any koblenz. This is when the vacuums were being made of quality. The reviews on the Koblenz they aren't so sturdy themselves. Sanitaire is proven Koblenz is up and coming. Its not to say i wouldn't take a koblenz i would. I just would prefer sanitaire. I dont blame you for being soured over experience. Id be the same way.
