I have “rescued” a Electrolux Model L canister vac that was donated to my local trash. I used it once and If I recall correctly it was loud so I decided to take it apart and further clean it unfortunately I didn’t mark the wiring
I can’t seem to get it back together as far at the wiring goes I’m hoping someone here can provide me with some advice/guidance on getting this Beautiful amazing piece of equipment in good working order

As I have learned these vacuums are extremely powerful and high quality

I would just like to restore it to preserve its beauty!

I have attached pictures with numbered connection spots 6 and 7 are connected to same post (1 post with 1 to 2 way splitter) 9 and 10 are the same post as well (1 post with 1 to 2 way splitter) I believe these are the correct spots for the splitters to be

P.S. The red connectors are obviously not original, I would have to assume that they originally had female connectors to fit on the 2-way splitters

Assuming 11 and 12 are Line and Neutral from the cord going into the machine. They don't look polarized, so you can interchange 11 and 12. The same goes for 1 and 2.

What are 8, 9, 10 from? Is it some kind of safety switch or an indicator light? The main on/off switch appears to be 5, 6, 7 - is that correct?

It's a little hard to tell which connections are blade connectors or 'eye' connectors. Can you get a brighter, closer picture of the end with the switch in it, so we can better see the connections on those switches?

11 and 12 go to the power outlet for the power nozzle. One lead would go to the switch and the other would go to the neutral junction.

1 and 2 from the motor one would go to the switch and the other would go to the neutral junction.

6 and 7 go to the hot side of the motor and power nozzle

9 and 10 go to the neutral side of the motor and power nozzle

8 would go to 5 to provide power to the switch

The easiest way to remember the wiring is like this:
Cord to Motor
Motor to Switch
Cord to Switch

The two power nozzle leads connect with the Motor leads. Each power nozzle lead goes to one of the two motor leads.
