I just discovered two oddities on my '72 Kirby Classic...
1. The wrong screw type on the bottom left-hand side of the motor housing. That should be the flat head type (135169). 2. A green wire going between the speed switch and field is partly exposed and I think that may pose risks. ~Ben This post was last edited 02/24/2019 at 01:50 |

A long, long time ago...
A lone screw decides it's tired of standing still. It's done nothing but hold things together for years, with no reward. When finally the opportunity presents itself, the lone screw rolls to the edge of the workbench, and leaps to the sprawling floor below, landing in a pile of junk and spare parts. Freedom! Meanwhile, far above and away from the screw, a single obscenity is uttered by the tinkerer. With little delay, the tinkerer rummages through glass jars and little clear plastic draws, for a replacement must be found for the 'free spirit' that so selfishly abandoned its duty. |
