Be sure and post pictures of the vacuum when you get it all cleaned up. I will google the vacuum to see what you are looking for. Keep the posts coming, I appreciate hearing from you. Garry |

Ya, Tom is totally right on this one. They are much bigger & heavier than a TriStar CXL or Compact. The shocking part though is how heavy the canister itself is - and it's plastic! They do incorporate some nice features that I wish TriStar would put on their machines though, like a cord rewinder & pleated pre-motor filter. For now though, at this time I think the original TriStar design was the best & for that reason I wouldn't buy the Vortech Force.

I had a Vortech Force. It was a nice vacuum, liked the cord rewind and the power nozzle. It was heavy but moved along very well. It came with the electrified and non-electrified hoses.

i dont have pics to post but i am using my desktop. I hate my desktop.
The vortech from research i have done is related to the patriot vacuum. The Schoettler Research and Engineering Corp out of Huntington beach California make the patriot vacuum. Schoettler worked for compact/interstate then tristar up until 1987-1989 where he believed he would have sent out to the pasture. He opened up the company above using the compact technology to produce patriot vacuums. He may have sold vacuums in Canada under compact name. He either sold or either himself sold or under same compact patent sale vacuums in Europe. there is one near me listed for 200 and i got them down to 120. It is made in Europe. I may be off on some points but the vortech has roots from the person who started patriot vacuum and selling vortech in Europe. I looked into it but its one in the same animal. Bottom line its what compact would make and sale if compact kept Schoettler on and produced compact technology. Les |
