Recently picked this thing up from my local ReStore for $10. It has only been charged once, seeing as it did not take the initial 16 hrs to charge. It has everything except the cardboard inserts, including the original manual and warranty card. It does work but the brush motor does not work, i will take it apart soon to inspect the wiring to the motor. Did i get a good deal? Any info on this vacuum would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I think it is from about 1994.

I'd say you're damn lucky that NiCad battery pack still works! They do not like to be left dormant and need to be maintained at least every 3 months in order to stay alive or they completely corrode and refuse to charge.

Someone must have taken care of it in storage even if they didn't use it much. If the brushroll connects to the vac with pins or contact points, try cleaning and inspecting those first. Also look to see if it might have some kind of safety fuse inside.

When i got it, i found a scrap of wrapping paper on the box. My guess is the owner got it as a gift and after finding out the roller didn't work, it just sat in a closet or a storage unit for awhile. I will give an update on it after i have taken the main vacuum apart.
