Here's what you need to know about the exact belt sizes for your Kirby vacuum in diameter and such... as taken from my 1981 Southwest Manufacturers & Distributors parts catalog.
1590 Models: 505 to 515 Outside Diameter (approx.): 2-3/4" (6.98mm) Belt Type/Width: Flat, 5/8" (1.59mm) 159056 Models: 516 to Tradition Outside Diameter (approx.): 2-9/16" (6.51mm) Belt Type/Width: Flat, 5/8" (1.59mm) 301262, 301279 Models: 516 to Tradition (power polisher and Rug Renovator) Outside Diameter (approx.): 2-9/16" (6.51mm) Belt Type/Width: Flat, 5/8" (1.59mm) And the very old C-series belts (models 2C, 3C, 4C and the early 505 with no in-built belt lifter) were: Outside Diameter (approx.): 2-3/4" (6.98mm) Belt Type/Width: Flat, 1/2" (1.27mm) And here's how big the Royal metal upright belt (1-043260-001, as used on machines less than 6 amps) was: Outside Diameter (approx.): 2-5/8" (6.67mm) Belt Type/Width: Flat, 1/2" (1.27mm) ~Ben This post was last edited 02/14/2019 at 19:04 |
