Rugsucker Hum, I think you're right with the plastic gear instead of a belt, that would explain the grinding noise I heard when it began to run and when it slowed down... I didn't have great expectations when I picked it up, I thought "Well, at least the cord looks good, I could use it to fix a vac". | ||

If that one I got for free isn't good at all, here what looks like a good option. Is it a B26? Do it suffer from the same flaws already mentioned for the B28?

I opened the bottom of my B28 and found big damages on gears. I'm not gonna spend any more time on this machine.
