I always struggle to get this part off, I do manage it but feel there must be a `proper` way to be doing it.
I basically prise the 2 top lips out from the casing but feel one of these times they are going to snap.
Any suggestions.

Be gentle.

I'm not sure about this particular scenario, but in general for things like this, make sure the plastic is warm beforehand. Not hot, but like, up high in a warm room for example. It's plastic, it loses its plasticizer over time, becoming brittle, and it will break eventually. Especially if it's near a source of heat (headlight). So basically any kind of plastic that needs to be flexed will just break at some point.

Such is life.

I don't know if it snaps in. The top of the light hood hooks to this be gentle as it breaks on ones I've encountered. The wiring instructions to this also that breaks if not gently installed.

OK thanks guys, looks like I am not doing anything wrong.
I was just concerned in case there was an easier way.
