Last week when I visited Bill at Vacuum Cleaner Hospital he had two vacuums saved aside for me-a Turquoise GE swivel Top vacuum.the motor in it runs perfectly-no bearing noises at all running and on spin down. The machine didn't have the hose wands,or tools. It has the cloth bag inside.Would like to find the hose and tools.A customer tuned the machine in to him as it was.
Next vacuum is a Dirt Devil-normally I don't have much interest in DD'sbut this one is very interesting and nice for a Dirt Devil. Its a Dirt Devel "Cruiser" vacuum. It has a self propel system, metal base, and part of the handle is metal.Sort of looks like a Royal Powercast. The machine is bagless-has a dirt cup with HEPA filter inside. The attachments are on the machine and present-includes a crevicetool, dust brush, and an air powered upolstry tool. The plastic trim parts are a light blue color. Its a pretty nice unit for a DD.Anyone else here seen these? And its roller brush is in pretty good shape-not badly worn.

I got to use the DD when it first came out. It was neat use a self propel system in a dirty devil.

The Cruiser

As a rule, I can't stand Dirt Devil vacuums... however I have a thing for self propelled machines and I do love the Cruiser. It's very attractive, the metal look with light blue accents (attachments) and the countours... if it didn't have the paper pleated filter and the Dirt Devil name I'd like it better... but for sure an attractive vacuum. It certainly looks better than the car with the same name (the PT cruiser) (but what doesnt').

Do we get to see pics?

At current time don't have a camera.
The Vacuum Cleaner Hospital Is the one that is in Greenville,NC.The place primarily repairs machines-that is their major business. They are a Riccar dealer. And they sell used machines.I haven't tried the Dd yet-will have to take it for a "cruise" over the floor.Would like to see how much its built in "dirt meter" dustcup collects.Yes with the pleated HEPA type filter you need another vacuum-preferably bagged-to clean it off.
