I thought the same! Seems like they were trying to cut corners somewhere. OR, it could have been a supply/manufacturing issue that needed another alternative. |

--would often break off leaving the threaded portion, that was somewhat difficult to dig out, in the metal handle.The all metal screw solved this. |

So, you mean to say that all of them came with the matching plastic screw but once broken off were replaced with the metal black washer/screw? |
