Hey
I found this ad. The seller lives in Maine. He has over 65 machines I'll post link but he is selling for for$1000 for everything. He has a shiz ton of sentria 2s and a at least 5 full avalirs. I let Kirby Mike know he may have something set up.

Boxes

Be aware that the boxes most likely don't match the machines inside when Kirby dealers trade in old kirbys for new one they often use the box from the new one. Seeing as most people don't care to keep them anyhow.

They could be sentria and sentria 2 and avalir for avalir 2. If you buy a vacuum you usually take the box. If I bought an avalir I'd want an avalir box.
With just that mentality I believe the boxes have what's on the box. They brought in box of sentria 2 upgraded to avalir or avalir 2. Idk. I noticed a few heitage g6 ultimate g attamement kits but I believe the center vacuums are what is on the box.
I don't think there is money to be made but im not in same Galaxy to liquidate vacuums. I'm thinking you have 2 people good mechanically inclined people 40-45 hours a week for 2 weeks could make machines sellable. That's best case scenario and I'm not finding a leprechaun or unicorn.
It could be old heritage vacuums. Idk I hope someone benefits.
It is damn weird having 65 vacuums in a garator storage unit. There is something fishy.
If there what's on the box $15 per vacuum.
Les

Kirbys

I see nothing 'fishy' with an honest Kirby dealer who puts on a fair demo having this many Kirbys in a storage unit or back room.As above it has been my experience knowing other dealers that the large Kirby boxes were not wanted by the customer and would have the trade in inside.(I would want the box. Many here would want the box.An early Kirby owners manual suggests the customer keep the box for storage of blankets, etc. But most customers don't keep the box.)You will notice at least some boxes have added labels of current contents.
Where lots of new Kirbys are demoed and sold there is usually a demand for good rebuilts at a lesser price. This could be a good deal for someone.

Hey

You are probably right. I texted the person they were very friendly. I'm not sure if Mike made arrangements but ever since not telling him I passed on gold heritage 2 he asked me to let him know. I only seen vacuum shop down here. They had no old vacuums. He couldn't figure out omega(the son). His father had to help. I don't even think franken Kirby is the word but classic Omega and tradition I polished as good as my 510 but I jacked them up putting back together. That's why I'm good now have diagrams and parts. It's been good ever since except when I got hoarders load of vacuums which I made money back but used parts off a few d50s. Those polished green beasts shorted out burning blue and purple. I now check everything a few times before I make the Kirby a skeleton for a dead motor. Every Kirby I've owned it's been close to 50 all started everyone. The 5 mentioned started but I killed the bullet proof vacuum with lack of detail. So I make sure the vacuum runs keep motor in tact and polish afterwards. I can polish great but I'm paying attention to the details so I don't kill anymore. Les
