This is a very interesting story, for those who don't know, Great Vacs is a company that sells high end vacuums without all of the price mark up. I have bought a few things from them and their service is excellent. The story is very interesting.

Great history indeed, but regarding their timeline of the evolution of vacuums...

Upright vacuums were introduced much earlier than the 1950s (as per the timeline on the website you link to)... in fact, Hoover's 1908 model O was also the first machine to also have a revolving brush.

That's a super story. He might have a novel idea but you don't get monster warehouse and inventory without a bank roll of millions of dollars.
It might be worded to make him look great. I guarantee you he was raised with a silver spoon. He has money from somewhere. Hell give me $10 million in cash distribution lines and I'd do just as well if not better.
Let's not loose sight. It's a feel good story but being bankrolled makes it not so amazing.
