One of my newest Hoover additions.
I cannot believe the condition Hardly a scratch. You never get machines in this condition here in South Africa , Cleaning ladies destroy them normally, I consider it a good machine if only some of parts are damaged . This machines only issues are the wrong bag ,,, I think I have the correct or at least a genuine replacement bag in my storeroom and the brush roller is missing and guess what I found the other day while cleaning up so that is been restored to fit into this . This model 1124 was only sold for one year here in SA from January 1957 to august 1958 The previous 119 was sold for 6 years

That is a beautiful machine. My mum had the UK version, known as the 1224, when I was little. That was my introduction to vacuum cleaners, and I still have it in my collection, although it sadly no longer has it's original bag.

Robin.
