For as long as I can remember I have wanted a Hoover u4123 but it was never sold here. I just love the colour combination of red and white.

So after purchasing a very well used 652 that was in far worse condition cosmetically than I had thought ( the price was still good though ) I set out to create my own one. Obviously I cant do anything about the smaller badge that unit sported and I left my one with a full wrap around bumper but these are the results.
The unit was completely torn down every nut and bolt removed , Call this more of a full restoration with a colour change.

Ok so the real reason I decided to do this was the massive damage to the hood. Badly cracked these hoods are very hard to come buy here.

So i repaired this one and got it ready for paint

That looks great. I might build something similar one day, as the UK market was never blessed with all of the good colour schemes.

That turned out absolutely fantastic! You took a basket case of a vacuum and completely transformed it into a thing of beauty that any museum would be proud to display! I hope you get many years of enjoyment out of it!
