As an interim solution, you might try turning the drive-belt inside out. Showing a lesser-worn face against the roller.
I would try taping-up the roller, underneath the belt, with a strip of strong fibre duck tape. Removing the roller until you source a new belt, would be better than having a slow-moving roller causing matting and heat on the driveshaft. |

Welcome to VacuumLand! A new brush drive belt for your 85103 would be part no. 1-044260-001. And when installing a new one, make absolutely sure that the front of the belt is facing you (when you mount it on the motor shaft); installing it the wrong way will cause the belt to fall off the shaft when you power on your cleaner. The attached picture will show you the correct way the belt is installed. Also, when remounting the brush roll, make certain that the arrows on both the brush roll and the rug plate line up/match. ~Ben
