So I believe my Classic III needs a new gasket for the sani emptor because I see a little bit of dust on the part that you connect the emptor to the port and the bag is almost completely inflated too which I just found out. I found this one on eBay and it says it’s for Heritage and Legend models. Will this fit on the Classic sani emptor too?

Gabriel,

Yes, I tried the Mini Emtor to fan case gasket (188087) and I did not have any outstanding issues (i.e., dust coming out from the connection between the Emtor and the fan case) with it. The original gasket for the large Emtor for models 516 to Legend II, though, was no. 188056.

I would guess the large Emtor's gasket is slightly thinner than the one used on the Mini Emtor.

KirbyClassicIII, sorry I got a bit confused with the part “outstanding issues”.

When you install gasket use like a super glue to hold in place and let dry 24 hours just being safe.

3M weatherstrip cement worked for mine. I glued it in, waited to dry overnight, applied a little silicon plumbing lube to it, then connected the emtor. The lube helps the emtor go on smoothly. Any silicon lube should work, even armor-all if you are desperate.

The 3m rubber cement sounds promising. I may try that on rug plates.
