I purchased my AirWay a few years ago at an antique mall. At that time I asked if anyone knew how to fix the hard "brushes" or whatever thry are called...no one
knew. I had some spare time today and made a contraption that worked perfectly !
I didn't take "before" pictures but the brushes were bent and twisted and were as
hard as a rock. They are now straight and can be put back into the nozzle.
I took some pics....my AirWay, the device I made to straighten. Basically, I took
a 2X4 and mounted a piece of wood to push the brush against. I heated the brush
with a heat gun...it was pretty hot...I then placed another piece of wood over
the flat portion of the brush while pushing it tight to the mounted piece of wood.
Then I clamped all together...that straightened out the brush. I let it cool for an hour. Cool ! It worked !

Glad you got your agitators (as Air-Way called them) straightened out.

Just out of curiosity, what is the vacuum on the floor to the far right in the 1st picture? Looks like a bagged upright but I can't identify it from the picture.

Thanks!

Other Vacuum

It's a Vital sweeper...non-electric....made in Cleveland.
It actually works and the bag fills up with air pretty quickly..
you just have to keep moving with it
