I found on eBay a while back a vintage GE upright vacuum. The bag however was not original and it said “Kirby Deluxe”. then recently I found an nss M1 Pig with a replacement bag. That one too said “Kirby Deluxe.” I’m wondering what that was? Was that a prototype Kirby? Limited run? Alternate name? Or did Kirby just happen to sell bags that say “Kirby Deluxe?” The bag looks like a Classic or Classic Omega style appearance wise, so I’m not sure if that was just an alternate name for the classic or classic omega.

Hey
It's a nss Pig. It's a monster vacuum cleaner with a aftermarket fake Kirby bag.

I saw this auction before and I was shocked to see an aftermarket Kirby bag on something other than a Kirby!

I do know, though, the aftermarket cloth bag had been ordered for a Classic Omega, as I see the bag cap that was made specifically for that model.

I’d venture a bet that bag isn’t securely attached! The Kirby bag bottom opening is much larger than the NSS one.

It’s interesting to know it’s a fake Kirby bag... I was convinced that it was from a rare Kirby or something else from kirby. Can’t find anything about “Kirby Deluxe” with a google search other than a GE with the same bag that I once saw on eBay.

I truly love those old GE uprights! I’ve seen lots of vintage machines with the wrong bag attached, some took more creativity than others to get to work... Drives me nuts! I’m not dead set on machines being 100% correct, but I expect them to at least look like it. I’m not generally particular about cords, but bags are often a deal breaker for me!

Kirby isn't going to go after someone. Their is no Kirby deluxe. The worse thing that could happen to you is seace and desist (I hope I spelled that right). It just means you have to stop selling it.
There are plenty of people who have used the Kirby logo. Some members here I have used a Kirby logo to make gain. If you are not affecting Kirby they likely won't care. You would have to stop making the product or service it. If you do nothing they can do. I talked to a Patten lawyer there are so many ways around things.
