Man, Keith.
You do find some neat, clean looking vacuums!
Were these made by Eureka?
It seems to have some Eureka-esque details.

Barry

@ Barry : Barry thanks for the compliment 😊 Yes these were made by Eureka. Attached is a pic of my Eureka Model 1289 for comparison.

Those cleaners are beautiful Keith! Lovely Empress II Power Teams.

I’ve never seen a Vibra-Groomer brush roll in an old Roto-Matic power nozzle... very cool!!!

Sweet! I had a similar Wards bought in 83? It had power, if not good bags they tore open

when were they made

Any idea when those were made? They sound like awesome power team canisters.

Mike,

The first Eureka Power Team using an Empress II canister body came out in 1973. Eureka-branded versions with upgrades kept on coming out probably until about 1980. But I think that after that year, Eureka only made them for department stores under the various store brand names (Eaton Viking, Beaumark, JCPenney, Montgomery Wards, etc).

I really love Eureka’s power “pedals” on the front of these cleaners. They are so much easier to step on compared to the current trend of having them on the very top of the canister body. I often lose my balance trying to turn my Miele C3 on or off, and sometimes I accidentally step on the cord rewind button!!! ☹️
