Unable to source one in the UK I decided to go for attempting to make one,not ideal and if it fails next option is a blob of weld on it and hopefully file to fit.

I started with a piece of scrap metal, cut to size, then filed to shape and fit.
Time will tell if it going to hold as I had to file the metal thinner than I would have liked to get the handle to slide in. Not the neatest of jobs but hopefully will suffice for the time being.

A replacement handle fork spring yoke is part no. 137579. This part was used as late as the Legend II.

Keep up the good work so far!

If you're buying a donor machine anyway, to get all the trim and accessories etc., why not use the Yoke from that?

Alan,

I agree on that, too. That's what I am going to do to rebuild my 1984 Heritage II's handle fork.

If you can't find one, make one!

I love to see engineering minds in action...
Hope that is some stout metal as there is quite a bit of spring pressure on that tab.
Hope this works for ya!
