Hey
I have been looking for an older TriStar/compact vacuum with good power at a reasonable price. Compactguy sent me a link to one on eBay for $175. I asked the seller if they would do $125 for every thing. They did so I bought it. Its a compact interstate c-9 model. I believe the c-9 has a 9 amp motor or 9 amp with power nozzle.
I was considering a royal power team/tank(it's one of the 2) but nobody would come down and none with a hose around $125. There is one for $130 but I know they have a strong exhaust sir released and louder than compact.
I was looking at newer tristar as I couldn't find any compacts for cheap
. Thanks compactguy for the help. It's mustard yellow with butterfly or flowers painted on it. I know compactguy painted his with like a blue deckover paint. I don't like mustard or mustard yellow but at the price I couldn't beat it. I'm thinking of painting royal blue, powder blue with dark blue accents similar to my 880's or turquoise green/blue or even dare I say ovacado green like d80. I'm not an ovacado green lover but d80 I love so ya. Should I was thinking maybe a silver matte or black matte. Should I paint at all. If I do would Rust-Oleum primer/paint be good or something else.
The compact I was thinking 1969 it was made but logically the motor size and color says 1970s. Does anyone know when they were made. The badges are embossed on vacuum body not on a plate. The pics don't have any pics of model.
Thanks again compactguy.
Les
The pics are from eBay I'm not sure the link would work. I'm assuming I can use them since I did buy the vacuum.

Not painting it. I didn't realize attachments matched vacuum. The color will grow on me like avocado green. Compactguy said it was made 1978-1979. That answers the other question. I'll post pics when I get it.
Thanks Les

Compactc9guy very nice Christmas present. I had an Electrolux oxygen 3 power brush included but I couldn't figure out how to use it. I have 2 shark rockets I guess there similar to power brush roll but not nearly as much suction.

Hey

I ordered filters and bags from envirocare off Amazon. I also ordered filters for my sharks and f&g HEPA bags too. I'll have everything ready for the vacuum. I'll give her a deep clean hopefully not too deep depending on prior owners maintenance it should be fairly clean.
