I seen this randomly when eBay searching and I was like "Woah!". It's enormous! Wonder how much suction power it has?

Is this an actual wide sweep indoor vacuum or is this for cleaning sidewalks and driveways--looks so much like an outdoor vacuum-but doesn't appear to have a gas motor-love the HUGE POOFED bag!!!!No details on what sort of power this runs from---120V?240V?

That reminds me of an older version of the Oreck com-vac .
if the price is right and you had the room that would be cool to have !

I’m pretty sure Clarke still make the Spacevac. I googled and found the 590b. The “b” must stand for battery. I think most of these vacuums are battery powered. Remember, cordless is the future of vacuums!

Space Vac

The Clarke Space Vac, and its Advance counterpart the Carpetriever, were the original WIDE AREA vacs.

They're meant for indoor use, single-pass cleaning in areas such as hotel lobbies and hallways, airport corridors and ballrooms. They typically have a 28 to 30 inch cleaning path, two (sometimes three) motors, and were originally AC powered only.

Incidentally, for those who don't know, Clarke and Advance were once leading competitors in the commercial equipment industry. They're now corporate siblings owned by Nilfisk.

P.S. for Tolivac

Forgot to mention -- At least in the U.S., they were 120V, 20 amp.

3 motors? Wow! I can only imagine the battery powered model must have ran on car batteries or something. lol

Yes, indeed

Can't vouch for today's machines, but in the days I was involved with housekeeping management ('80s, early '90s), all the battery powered machines, whether vacs, floor scrubbers or polishers, all used standard lead-acid batteries, typically multiple 6-volts.
