Remove the belt and brushroll. Carefully peel the label off the front of the belt lifter. Remove the Phillips head screw and the whole thing comes apart. After you are done, put the white plastic ring through the hole inside of the nozzle so the little white tabs are facing out towards the front of the nozzle. Next, put the wavy metal ring over the hole on the front of the nozzle over the plastic tabs. Next, place the flat metal ring over the wavy metal ring. Then, put the screw in the hole in the belt lifter handle and put that over the metal rings on the front of the nozzle. Then, line up the tabs on the metal belt lifter hook with the matching tabs on the rear of the belt lifter handle. The belt lifter hook should be on the inside of the
nozzle and the handle should be on the front. Finally, hold the whole thing together with your hand while you fasten the screw on the front of the lifter handle. Once it it tight, test it. It should rotate smoothly, stopping at the appropriate points, all without it feeling loose. After this, you can glue the label back on with superglue, but it is not necessary. Hope this helps!
