Aren't the Avalir and Sentria the same except the different exterior colors? |

The handle is completely different. The tech drive had upgraded. It is lighter than the sentria. The bag isn't cloth it's like neoprene material. The shampoo kit is different. The shampoo tray has a container with a lid on it.
The newer sentrias through avalir have a newer dtle emtor. The fill tube is slightly bigger than g4-early sentrias. The most part they are the same with differences I mentioned and a few others. Led |

My mistake, thanks Led for the correction. What is the difference between the older cloth bag and current neoprene bag? Does the neoprene bag have better air flow, is it easier to clean? What is dtle? |

I meant mini emtor.
Sentria is cloth good bag but doesn't breathe well. I don't know if it's neoprene it's a guess. The avalir bag is durable. It breathes bette. Avalir bag has plastic type material making it hold bag shape better. So it breathes better keeps form better and I think it holds dust in. There is something with the tech drive. I seen someone mention change started on av sentria 2. I do have an avalir nozzle it's similar looking but it's easier to use belt lifter. If anyone else knows differences please chime in. Les |

I came across a flawless Avalir 2017 in July for $129. I grabbed it right away and I really enjoy using it. It did not come with the attachments, BUT... I also have a new in box Avalir 2 and have used its shampooer and other accessories. The shampooer does have some slight differences which make use not as messy and easier to attach/remove. I’ve been really happy with both Avalirs - I know they are the same machine but I like them. Plus the Avalir 2 was gifted to me so that’s why I have it.
I’d say $200 isn’t a bad deal, but what condition is it in? Is it a 100th Anniversary? I’ve seen some Avalirs selling for what seems a great price, but when seeing it in person, it’s been severely abused - pictures posted of the machine must have been downloaded from the internet because the machine being sold looks like it survived a nuclear war. For me, if a machine as recent as the Avalir requires any work to make it “perfect,” it’s not worth it. Something this new shouldn’t require anything if it’s been treated properly and “only used a couple times” like so many of the listings claim. |
