Charles Richard Lester had a very interesting website about old Electrolux Vacuums. I just noticed that the website is no longer active. Anyone know what happened to it?

What did you want to search there for, in particular?

He also had sections of it devoted to the history of Kirby vacuums from 1934 through 1963 (the C series and the 500 series), regarding some of the cosmetic and internal changes each Kirby model had. That was something I really liked about his website.

The whois data on the domain says it expired in 2015, maybe he just forgot to renew the site.

1377731.com.cutestat.com/...

For now you can view the site in the Wayback Machine, most of it seems to be archived: web.archive.org/web/201706070137...

Thanks Huskyvacs, for the link. That's exactly what I was looking for. Everything looks like the original site.

My domain name did not expire in 2015, and my web site is not inactive. It is currently down for maintenance with no projected date for going live.

A Leader Falters.

My my, Charles, aren't we a bit persnickety! (and inappropriately condescending)

With seemingly no sense of gratitude that people revere you and your knowledge, you come across as ambivalent at best.

A real slap in the face to admirers.  Almost mean spirited!

Why?  Why don't you have an enthusiastic positive voice any longer?

Fake news, lol.

WE aren't "a bit persnickey! (and inappropriately condescending)"  but YOU certainly seem to be. I was simply responding to the "fake news" that my domain name had expired in 2015 and/or my site was dead. There's no need for anyone to twist their panties in a knot because I needed to set the record straight.

Furthermore, I am not -- and never have been -- a "leader," so there's no "faltering" on my part.

I second that, I didn't see anything negative in electrolux137's post.

I just emailed Charles Richard Lester and he said that the website is down for maintenance. I'm waiting on a response on when it will be back up and running again.
