Nice

Go ahead and ruin a perfectly good Royal and turn it in to really bad humor. What a flippin' moron.

I don't know what's more alarming -- the video, or the comments that people left on it.

The bozos ruining the Royal! The idiot using the Elite as a snowthrower-May the vacuum Gods attack them in full force by electrocution(snowblower)and explosions(Royal)Also in the set of videos with these there is another group of clowns attacking a poor unfortunate Constellation with Hammers, firecrackers and large rocks. In all of these examples they ruined 3 nice vacuums-esp that Royal. If they don't want it-I am sure any of us could put it to use.(good use that is-not as a test for gasoline)All three film clips show examples of the non sporting uses of vacuum cleaners.I have seen other appliance acts of cruelty-Washers and dryers pushed off cliffs, etc.Us collectors would like to have them-Its hard enough finding these without the IDIOTS destroying them.--and filming it!

I saw that vid and the royal was so well made that it did not explode until one of the idoits threw a match at the gas soaked bag. I watched this about 4 weeks ago and boy I was so surprised how the machine did not blow up at the moment it was turned on. however I would never do that. that is an inhumane way of execution.

I think we need to accept...

that the vast majority of people view vacuum cleaners as...vacuum cleaners - not as precious collectibles!

It's up to them; if they want to entertain themselves in such a potentially dangerous way, let them. They'll end up paying the horrible price if it all goes wrong.

The Royal and the Constellation would be more upsetting to me, the Elite may have been salvageable. I have never gotten any pleasure out of seeing appliances destroyed, even if they were ones I didn't like. Take one of these moron's I Boxes, ipods, hip hop cars, or 40,000 watt sound systems and do that, then you'll hear screaming!

Post# 42304 , Reply# 9   6/2/2008 at 09:44 (5,806 days old) by electroluxxxx (……)

heyy now when it comes to sound systems I am a dj so dont dis the sound system. *LOL* now I do not mind the ipod or hip hop cars blowing up but the sound system yeah. lol

I run a 3000 watt technical pro amplifier pp-3000 with a Gemini 8ch mixer and 600 watt MTX thunder tp112 speakers. love it to bits

In 20-more years' time, when an entire generation of music lovers are entirely (*) deaf from the ear-splitting decibel levels they have been exposed to, perhaps common sense and prudence will once again show the way and people will go back to listening to Mozart and Bach on acoustic instruments!

(*) I say "entirely" specifically -- because there clearly is well documented and irrefutable scientific evidence that people who are exposed to mega-amplified music have already sustained significant and irreversible damage to their ears. (Anyone wonder why most performers of rock, hip-hop, rap, etc., wear earplugs?! How ironic that is, really.)

Anyone who has ever seen the inner ear system is aware of what a beautiful, delicate, fragile, graceful instrument it is. It's hard to understand why anyone would wish to punish and abuse their ears, and others' ears, with such torture.

As to the vacuum cleaner demolishing morons, well, what can you say. They've probably been listening to too much brain-numbing heavy metal "music" and taking too many judgment-impairing chemical substances.

Electroluxxxx, glad you have a sense of humor, and got the point. It would pain me to see one of these little bouncy big stereo cars get blown up or trashed, or expensive games chucked into walls, any nice things ruined, even if they are not to my taste or liking. I like loud music, but I don't like it ear blastingly loud, my ears ring constantly from having done something stupid with a hand truck tire years back. It popped, and Bingo! Ringing for years. Some days are better than others though.

Those Idiots!

It's a perfectly good vacuum and they set it on fire quite stupid indeed. At least it's well made and wasn't totally broken. If it can survive fire it can survive just about anything!

Post# 42346 , Reply# 13   6/2/2008 at 18:35 (5,805 days old) by vacuumkid3 ()

Yes, I'd say it is a rather good test, and slightly realistic, for vacuums. Some people suck up live embers from fireplaces and pretty soon, the bag catches on fire! My friend across the street bought a Sanitaire at a fire sale...and it still works great, other than the icky, sticky handle grip! :-)

~~K~~

Those guys must really be sick to get enjoyment out of destroying something. However, the fact that the Royal was still running after the bag burned and blew off does attest to how well Royals are built.

In my business-radio engineering I NEED my ears-they are a tool of the trade. So I try to keep exposure to noise to a min.Years ago I remember in one apartment complex I lived in-they had disco parties regularly in the basement of the building I lived in-I lived on the fifith floor-the music was so loud in the basement-the place was SHAKING!And I had to sleep for my morning shift.I tried to ask the DJ to turn his music down-as I was doing so I had to get my hearing protectors I usually use on the shooting range while shooting guns-the music was THAT loud. The protectors I use suppress to 30Db and the music was still oud.Imagine the damage it was doing to the folks ears who were at that party dancing and listening.I had to get the police in the shut down the rackett.and I worte the landlord a NASTY letter and moved out.If someone wants a REALLY high powered ampthe transmitters I use have a section called the modulator-for the 250Kw transmitters I use here-125Kw of audio power to 100 percent modulate the 250Kw RF signal. You put your ears against the transformer vault door and it sounds like there are speakers in there-that mod transformer has 125Kw of audio going thru it-from two VERY large tubes in push-pull.Lets see -how many speakers can I connect to that-just what that apartment DJ needs!Oh yes with some of the loud blowers and pumps here for cooling the transmitters-and some loud tools-they issue a over the ears hearing protector to each person and dispensors that have disposable earplugs are at each high noise aera in our building-new OSHA-ANSI requirements.

Whoever put the post on the Hoover Elite video that said "Only a Redneck" said it about right. I have to admit I hate seeing a vacuum destroyed, but it was kind of funny watching that Hoover blow snow like that. Still, it's a wonder the dullard didn't get electrocuted!

YOU LITTLE TRATOR!

HOW COULD THAT BE FUNNY?!! HOW COULD YOU SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT?!!

Though it might be funny with like a crappy plastic $40 dirtdevil, even though they don't blow. LOL
