Went down to Tinley Park today and stopped by the Goodwill. They have a Kirby Dual 50 there for $20 (Oh Darn I have one already and DON'T need another).

There are so many old Kirbys around they kind of are like roaches - never ending.

True, I'm just sorry pre-war Kirbys aren't more plentiful. And with original trim and bag are as scarce as hen's teeth!

Your entitled to your opinion. There quite a few Dyson around but in 50 years you won't find many Dysons.
Kirby's are around because of build quality.
I'd take a d50 over any Dyson. I'll leave it at that. I know you are a moderator but are any posts wisecracks or belittling posts necessary. I seem to see you pop off with smart ellic remarks. I know you have a vast knowledge of vacuumms. Maybe if you focused on helping people and spreading your knowledge instead. Would it hurt to be a little more positive.

Hi

lesinutah's profile picture
He once commented on a vacuette and he replied having a Kirby vacuette. I was referring to handvac not what he possessed. So seeing someone who has a vacuette made by Kirby owned by him. He may town the line but you don't own one of the rarest flagship vacuums by a company as big as Kirby. You just don't have one just for kicks. I'm versed on some of his past owning vacuum shop sold it. He mentioned he received a royal power cannister VAcuum he received because of article he had written. So he wrote some sort of publication to receive a vacuum from the royal company. I know he can write knows a bit more than most about vacuums. I'm just asking why not be positive. Don't spew insults when behind the keyboard is a encyclopedia of vacuum knowledge. Spread and help others don't be so bitter and onery. I don't know him. I know he could help alot of people. I don't claim genius I claim he is genius disgruntled and burned out with life when he has alot more positive knowledge. If I help someone I find purpose in doing so.
You don't have to reply but your genius is unparalleled spread the joy.

"wisecracks"--??

I see nothing wrong with the 'roach'comment.I have often seen or heard it stated that 'Roaches were here since the beginning of time and would be here after a major World War III'.I have at least 20 in my attic(Kirbys, not I hope roaches).I have seen Dyson called DieSoon,we called Compact 'little green pig' when I was with Electrolux and they and others called the Elux Olympia the 'old brown mule'.Any harm done?I think not.
Among other things Tom has sold new Kirbys and has shared his experience and knowledge of their first paper bag and more with many here.
