I have a Kenmore canister that is straight suction only and it has a knockout plug for where a power nozzle would be. Could I wire a power nozzle up to it?

Try removing that plastic cover. Chances are there is already a powerhead receptacle installed there, all you would have to do is put on a powerhead cord with a plug & receptacle on the hose to use with a powerhead.

If there is no powerhead receptacle there, assuming there is no circuit board, you would have to buy & install one, & wire it up like a TriStar CXL with a single speed motor.

Thank you. I wouldn't know how to wire it. Would my local vac shop be able to do it?
