Those are awesome. Are you using upright vacuums as power nozzles?? That's way cool! I bet that gives a lot of power.

Those were actual airway power nozzles. Rather rare

Rare Airway power nozzles

Phillip:
Aren't they basically the lower portion of Eureka uprights?
They look exactly like the Eureka my mom used to have when I was a kid.
Right down to the Dial a Nap.
Were Airway and Eureka related?

Barry

Yes they were basically a metal-based Eureka upright, they were the invention of Don Clark and were mostly meant for commercial use, or so I've been told. There were not tons and tons made. Don got into trouble for this and almost lost his job but Airway decided they did need a power nozzle thus the metal RugMaster was born. The first known Don Clake nozzle was about 1968 made with a Hamilton Beach upright then later about 1971ish was Eureka.

It's funny how they got in trouble over using the Eureka upright as a nozzle, but yet their own Rugmaster nozzle looks almost exactly like Electrolux's PN4.
