I've noticed that some Kirby belts are textured and some are smooth. What's the difference and which type should I be using on my g4?

The g4 takes textured I also think they are called knurled belts.  The smooth belts have more stretch to them.  The older machines use smooth belts.  The knurled belts are to tight on older machines are snap either fan pulley or belt lifter as they were made of plastic and aluminum.
