So I was off work today and decided to go by one of the thrift stores in town and found this Sanitronic VII for $15. It was in good condition and works great! Metal fan in excellent condition and the cloth bag only had mild debris in it (I’m used to finding them stuffed). Carbon brushes appeared to be recently replaced, armature in great shape! Got it home and did a preliminary polish by hand... tomorrow I will add some power and hopefully it’ll shine even better! The cord and bag topper appear to be from an Omega, but if that’s all I’m facing with this (and it was $15) I think I made out well! Here’s some photos, one is of how it came, the other 3 are after it’s “mini makeover.”

Agree. Very rarely find deals that good and have them in that kind of shape. It's been a little bit "refurb-butchered" but not too bad. I think that bag topper came with those aftermarket bags because I have a Kirby 500 series and it has that same bag with topper too. Mine has a 1981 copyright tag on it.

Just wanted to say thanks for the comments! This machine is a little bit “Frankenkirbied” but not too bad, I’ve certainly encountered much worse, lol. It appears as though whoever replaced the bag, cord, bag topper tried to make it match.
I’m trying to find the correct cloth bag, bag topper, cord. I’m not having much luck. I’ve reached out to Kent from Kirbyneeds (haven’t heard back yet). I also have information from another member here for a shop owner in Texas, but it’s a holiday weekend, so I’ll wait to contact them until Tuesday. But... if any of you on here have these parts laying around (and are willing to sell) let me know! My email is trajemoi25@aol.com Also, the handle fork spring is junk on this machine. I’ve never had to replace this on any of my finds, and I’ve heard it’s difficult and requires a special tool. Who has completed this repair? Are there any ways around special tools? Hey The handle fork spring isn't hard. 516 to d80 use same spring. The handle tilt switch pops off. If you take main outside body that covers motor. There is a spring and inside spring is the 4in or so pin switch hooks to and is inside the spring. The pin has 2 or 3 screws holding pin to motor body. Take screws out pop the pin out the side catch spring and you slide pin into motor and have spring in place install same way you uninstalled. If your trying to install new pin winding I've heard is a hassle. Take one off a machine don't install a new one compressing springs you don't want to experience that pain. Les You are looking for a sirocco cord sirocco sanatronic bag topper,? I have an extra sirocco cord might have extra sanatronic bag topper.
