My 1985 Royal 880, with the hose from the 303 tool kit I got today from Jared (huskysteel)! I'm glad they're matching tools!
I think the original 4.5 amp motor group was replaced with the 6 amp motor group going by its sound. ~Ben This post was last edited 08/21/2018 at 22:50 |

Thanks for the video. I wish I could find one for my royal. I'm jealous great addition. When you put hose on do you not put belt on? Does the hose have good suction. Sorry just never see uprights with hoses. One last question do they make cannister vacuums to compliment uprights. Thanks again for share wicked sweet.

Les,
You are welcome, and that is correct; you remove the belt from the pulley before you put the hose adapter in. Suction seems to be average at best compared to the 2nd position of the speed switch on all Kirby machines starting with the Dual Sanitronic 50. There was a Royal canister and several tanks that complimented their medium blue uprights: the 231 canister, the 401 Pony tank (replaced by models 404 and 405 in 1987), the 931 deluxe tank, and the 407, 408, 411, 412 and 413 Power Tanks. ~Ben |

I thought it might but wasn't sure. That is cool they built to compliment each other. The royal 880 I have is the best looking vacuum I have. Baby blue on chrome led light etc.
I'm pretty sure they sale adapters royal/dirt devil hose adapters. If I can find one and baby blue hose nice addition to it with my 501 prince. I n believe I have seen a cannister matching 880 they are pricey but it looks like it has insane suction power. Thanks again for the information on royals quite helpful. You should make another video of hose. The other video wasn't in focus the whole time. Les |

Les,
Prior to the Dirt Devil 192 attachment kit, there was the model 191 attachment kit, but like the 303 attachment kit I got for my 880, finding one will be rare! It included a white hose with blue ends, a polished hose adapter, a blue crevice tool, round brush, upholstery tool and metal extension wand. ~Ben This post was last edited 08/23/2018 at 11:26 |

The 192 attachment kit says it's for hand vacuums. Does it also fit metal upright. If it does I have a white one from a thrift store when I bought a parts 501 prince.
