Today my family and I are putting some extra stuff at public storage for a little while till we get a new house very soon! Including my vacuum collection, I have 32 of them staying here for a little while so I thought I’d show y’all some pics of my vacuums being put to storage. Pretty soon when my family and I get a new house, y’all will see them again!

Be careful if it isn't a climate controlled unit. I had some machines in a storage unit and they started growing mold on parts like rubber bumpers and hoses, even with those Damp Rid things in the unit.

Nice!

In the first picture; is that a red PortaPower with wheels?
In, I think it's the third picture, I see the whitish PortaPower with blue stripes.
I might be able to get one like that, if I can find a way to convince the people who are no longer using it to part with it.

JustJunque, the orange Portapower is actually a rare Oreck Power Pak from around 1984. I got it about a month or 2 at Hooks Vac shop for $10!

We had an idea by making a shelf out of wood we brought from Home Depot! So we have more space!

Oreck Power Pak

Ah. That's really cool!
Now that you mention it, I think I remember you posting when you got it.
It really looks like the Hoover.
If it's the same basic machine, I wonder how Oreck was able to put their name on it.
Interesting!

Gj3476 Don't laugh but

I was so impressed with the way you stored your machines at public storage, the wrap around display looks great and they are just in storage. Looking forward to when you bring your babies to their new "bigger home'"and how you will display them.Nice job! Were those boards already curved like that when bought or did you do that?

Kirbyklekler, thank you so much! No the wooden boards are straight. The reason why is curved because I used panorama mode on my iPhone SE to make look artsy. Since you mentioned about making a display once my family and I move to a new house I do want to make a display but maybe some other vacuum collectors can help me what to use in the house.

You do have a generous collection going on.

I wonder if getting large plastic bags to cover them with, or contain them in, would help preserve them.
