Could you put a shop vac type paper bag in there to keep the drum clean i would think it would help protect the motor.

I recently got one. Mine is a little lighter gray than yours. I haven't had time to clean it up yet. That's my next project.

Jason I found the machine over a year ago through a former Electrolux dealer. Given its cosmetic condition and excellent performance I would rate it as a new old stock unit.
