At the last vacuum cleaner collectors convention, one of my friends was so kind as to give me a burgundy, 1982 Tri-Star. This was the first model called a Tri-Star. Vacuum cleaner shops were selling the blue "Compact " brand. Door to door salesman had the burgundy Tri-Star with its two speed motor and polished aluminum lid, handle, and switch kick. It was gorgeous when they pulled it out of the box.
Along the way, the machine I was given had the motor replaced with a single speed motor. I replaced the single speed motor with the correct two speed motor, put a new premotor filter and cloth HEPA bag in. A little Kitchen Jubilee wax and the Tri-Star is gorgeous once again. Thank you to Robert C. from Quincy, Illinois for this wonderful machine. I will keep it at home and it will be used in rotation with my other vacuums.

The Compact C-7
This particular machine came from the collection of Fr. Bruce. It came to me "all the way from Memphis". I love this particular machine, with its unique blue hose, and unique attachments. It is in virtually unused condition, and it is a machine I will cherish forever

1984. The last machine to ever be called a "compact". Sold by independent dealers through their stores.

Compacts Are some of my very favorite machines, My Mothers first cousin had a C-6 when I was a kid and I was always fascinated by it, I have been using mine this week at the new house. | ||

My Compact C9 got it on ebay 4 years ago love it complete whit new hosr new envirocare bag new cloth bag motor filter and power head fully rebuilt a cleaning beats
