I would love to make another trip up to collect some more goodies, do you by chance have a fantom lighting power nozzle? I have a good working unit but pn is shot. I would buy a whole unit if it had a working pn. I also want a constellation and a few convertibles possibly more. Thanks so much!

As my former Electrolux manager would say--

--"Can you read?Read this!!"
This summer and fall MOST of what is in my old & new buildings needs to GO!--I have vacs and MORE from travelling & collecting,DTD dealer trade ins,my trade ins and more including a Dirt Devil Can Vac with power nozzle from a thrift store yesterday. Many are $0 to $5,some $5 to $20 and some are more after considering rarity & condition.--I have moved one block away and am still doing vac sales and service as well as adding a book store with over 2000 feet of shelving to keep stocked.--I also find I am older, tireder, weaker and closer to death with every passing day.And when I am dead please understand that my few remaining relatives will call a discount crematorium and a commercial dumpster.--Some vacs will stay as a much smaller collection, some may be held for future EBay,some are spoken for, some may be held until all parts are located.--I have little time for this.--Shipping will be rare with buyer paying UPS for all packing and shipping.--If you or others in your area are interested it is best to make the easy drive to east TN.I am in the center of Knoxville TN,Roanoke VA & Asheville NC.--I do not do EMail,--I do not know or care if my phone has voice mail.--Speaking of my phone,to speak to me on my phone call 423-268-4841 between 7 AM and whenever I turn it off in the evening.--I can also answer here.--Please understand that the above pictures are NOT EVEN TWO PER CENT of what is here!!--I hope to have more,&better pics soon.

I wish I could get there.
I see one nice looking Celebrity on a shelf, and you probably have more.
I have health issues that prevent me from traveling that far.
And I even have a family member who lives in TN.
But, as is the case with others on here, he's in the wrong end of the state.

I would love to come down to have a look

I’m in central Indiana, so it’s a bit of a drive. But it seems like it would be worth the trip. I always have a running list of parts and pieces I need. Would it be possible to arrange a weekend visit?

I had family in Tennessee in the 90s and grew up there for a couple weeks in the summertime every year. I love hokey little hole in the wall places like this, you used to see them a lot down that way back then, I'm sure rent was cheaper and the little man could prosper.

It's such a disorganized and unkempt mess (in the best way of course) that I can picture Mike and Frank from "American Pickers" crawling their way through there. That is a very cool fascia and it would certainly catch my eye!

Are those green and blue Dysons in the pics UK models? I don't think I've ever seen a Dyson sold here in the USA in any of those colors.

I simply meant that he's in the opposite end from you, and I wouldn't ask him to make a five+ hour drive to help feed my sickness.
If he was the traveling type, I bet he would enjoy that cruise though.
We have one near us that draws close to 1,000 vehicles on a big night.

"Convertibles"--At least 80 starting with Mo 31 & 65.
"500 Kirbys"--Several in maybe 4 areas.Am trying to group together.LOTS of Kirby accessories!!!
"Royal Power Tanks"--Very few Royal tanks but maybe 2 with power nozzle.Possibly separate early PN.
"shipping"--I after I get a reasonable price I can set items on counter at UPS and you pay them for all packing, shipping, insurance. In rare cases I may go to the trouble of packing but I have little time for this.

Tradition is very nice & complete including paperwork with early lockout switch.
Royals are mostly in attic and not'ready for their close up'.
Spirit box is only box. Most Hoover canisters are Constellation & Celebrity with a few others including Dimension.
Have box and atts for Cleaning System in attic.Need to sort more on second floor, then bring items down from attic.
Even with 2nd set of pics you HAVE NOT SEEN 10% of what is here.

Not only am I hoping to get up there to see you sometime this fall before your big clean-out is over, I have ulterior motives for coming as well.....I don't know about you, BUT I am absolutely itching for a good trip to Ridgewood again! For those of you that haven't been to see Jimmy or the Elizabethton area, there is a small, hole-in-the-wall type bbq place called Ridgewood BBQ....it is utterly AMAZING, and just to prove how popular it is, if you get there during the lunch rush....be prepared to wait a LONG TIME! It really is THAT GOOD, and worth the wait! I'm going to check with the boss (aka, the wife) and see when she's not on-call, or has something planned with her mom and make a day trip to see you! This time though, dinner's on me Jimmy! :)

I sometimes spend lunch break at a thrift store every week or 2.Among a few items that followed me home today are--
--a VERY NICE gray & maroon Hoover Spirit with cordwinder, chrome wands, floor brush and Quadraflex nozzle.
--a box with NICE pretty green parts that turned out to be a D80 rug nozzle(with
worn brush),polisher,shampooer & a few small attachments(no hose,wand or vac).
All still in car. Will look closer later.

Hi Jimmy, I would be interested in any full canister's you might have. I am also looking for a replacement rug pile dial tool ( White with the dial in the middle that goes to the canister) I have been looking for this machine for years. A holy grail childhood machine. If you have any of the above please let me know.

As above I do not do email.I do answer the telephone(before it is turned off in evening)at 423-268-4841.The tan broom is one that was found with cord cut off but seems to be complete and in good condition for age and model.Should have hose and I may have attachment set in box.Would be a lower price. Also have an early Regina housekeeper and original box of then optional attachments.
lux14-
I should have at least 4 Regina canisters(none with power nozzle)in mostly complete and at least good condition.A very nice green,2 yellows(one with chrome lid)an orange and ??Most with deluxe suction control.

Hi Jimmy,

The red striped Hoover outer bag.
Is that new or used?
Would you be willing to ship something light like that?

Thanks,
Barry

Is that Black and Decker canister a Eureka rebadge?
Love the Kenmore Duopower and the little Dirt Devil PN canister and the Celebrity
Who made that little blue canister at the left in the last photo?

Barry,
"Hoover bag"--They are used, mostly good or better. There are many more.(Pictures so far are only a SMALL random sample of what is here!!)Shipping on these would not be much of a problem.
fan-of-fans,
"Black & Decker"--These were sold in this area by furniture stores in early 90s.Don't seem to be Eureka.I should have attachments if not more vacs as I continue to sort.
"little blue canister"--Was sold by Sears.I have another similar, smaller vac complete in box.
Others will know more on these.

Phillip

As I recall the Fairfax electric nozzle is very nice and has no PN outlet Fairfax to go with. You are first to ask about Panasonic nozzle.I may keep the Preco nozzle to go with a complete Fairfax(I should have original boxes, polisher & even 'Fairfax'fragrance).May use in a 'clean your home with chrome' display or offer as the most complete one. There should be at least 4 Fairfax, not all complete but most or all with original std hoses.

Hi Jimmy, hey I have been meaning to call you about the Regina Canister vacuuums that you have. One thing. Would you be willing to ship? I unfortunately would not be able to make a trip to you at this point and time. I know you mentioned you might consider shipping if the buyer paid for the cost to have the item professionally packed and you just dropped off the item at the UPS store.

I know you are busy and just wanted to check with you so I don't waist your time.

Just let me know your thoughts.

Hope all is well! Best, Richard.

Richard(& all),

As to SHIPPING--
--After I get a reasonable price for an item I would be glad to take it to the nearby UPS and instruct them as to the value, age, possible fragile parts, parts that can be disassembled, etc.and have the buyer call UPS to arrange packing, packing materials, insurance, cost, etc to their satisfaction.(I have done this with 2 vacs that went to western states with no problem.)In the case of some small items such as a Hoover zipper bag I am holding for a possible buyer I might pack and mail without wasting half a day and worrying if it will end up broken.
But for those with time and a convenient location I would suggest putting the UPS money in your gas tank, call me and come pick and choose.

Sadly you're 575 miles away from me. A 10 hour drive (or an $800 one way plane ticket) yikes!

Also as a tip - if you want to take care of your vacuum bags (outer bags or large lots of packaged bags) that people want to buy, you could get rid of them pretty quickly in a USPS medium flat rate box. The narrow type ones. I think it's like $8 to ship. Local post office has them, self sealing, stuff the bag in, scrawl your name and the buyer's name across it, give them the postage money, and away you go. It can't break because it's just a bag.

huskyvacs,

Good information on the USPS box rate IF they do not lose it without a trace AS THEY DID with a box of rare Kirby parts I sent to the northeast.NEVER give them a box without a tracking number!
Bvac6,
Only Regina Housekeeper is probably an early pink one with the then optional attachments in box.I do have literature including service/parts manuals and should have small atts & short wands in at least blue and gray and maybe misc parts.

I wish I was closer!
I'd love to see if you had the correct color on-board tools for my 75th Anniversary Epic 6500.

Also, speaking of Hoover:

Any chance you might have this furniture/upholstery nozzle?
It's for my Hoover Portable.
This one is broken, and the red rubber nubs are missing.

Thanks,
Barry

Very VERY reasonable prices, and of course amazing bbq! While Ridgewood was too busy, I tried another one and was extremely impressed! Anyway, enough talk, time for photos!!!

Hello Steve,Goodbye Vacs,

As above Steve came with a truck and took about ONE PER CENT of what is here.Vacs going to a new home were as old as a 'coffee can'Hoover and as new as Rainbow E and a Dyson. Also some parts vacs and parts such as correct color hoses for many different Elux.We started at new location and after plan B on lunch continued at the old.Note-the above pictures show some of what is moved to new but NONE of what is left at old.
Who will be next?!?

Clean outs

Hello rugsucker and All,
I am sorry to say the only vacuum I find of interest is the GE 111. I understand GE had also made a Model 111-A with a light, this I have never seen pictured nor in person.
I have had to clean out 2 shops for their owners and most machines went in the big dumpsters this was before the Internet and eBay.
I have repaired a number of the machines I see you have and a number of them I really hated working on.
About 40 years ago took 20 of mine to the dump which left me with 4 vacuums and now I am back up to about 28 or so.
I even sort of stupidly just bought a Hoover Baby Model 103 and a Hoover 105. Not really sure why I thought I had to have them.
Good luck to you and good luck to all you haulers,
Pete

Jimmy,
In Steve's second set of photos pic #6 there are 2 turquoise airway rugmaster nozzles. One chrome wand and one appears to have a painted wand. Can you tell me the story as to why one is painted?

Also does your chrome Fairfax nozzle have its label? I have one but the label is missing

Payton,

3rd is probably OK.Call 2-3 days ahead.Lightning parts are in at least 4 areas of the 2 buildings. Will try to group them together as I will be doing with other brands/models.
Phillip,
"-why is one painted?"--Because it is the rare,FIRST of this style.
"-Fairfax--label-"--Should be at least good/very good. Will take a closer look.

Payton,

Sad,tragic news. Both Ridgewood and the other place where Steve and I had a great lunch will be closed Labor Day Mon 3rd.While this severely limits bar-b-q choices there are several other choices, some within easy walking distance downtown including a very good family owned Mexican,Italian,2 home cooking, etc.

Phillip,

Took a closer look at Fairfax nozzle(it was hiding behind 3 Elux shampoo/polishers that need to go SOON)and it seems very low mileage.Lable 100% complete & good to very good, little wear on bumper, etc but have not plugged in at workbench.
