My mom bought this vacuum a little over a year ago. She had a Kenmore Quick Clean bagless with cord reel before, but she said somehow it started cracking apart so she replaced it. At first she had bought a tiny Bissell upright from Walmart for $29 or something, but when she opened the box she said it was a "tiny piece of junk" so took it back. I thought it was cute but of course it was way too small to clean a whole house.

So she got this Hoover at Sears for $99. I'm not big on newer vacuums or bagless ones but I think this is a pretty good vacuum.

It seems to clean well and isn't very loud.

One of my favorite features is the clutch so you can step on a big pedal and shut off the brush for bare floors, or when you put the handle up it stops automatically. This is very important for uprights for me as far as the attachments. As far as the attachments themselves, I do believe the hose works pretty well. I forget exactly how it works, but it doesn't seem to retract when you touch the hose or attachments to surfaces.

It comes with a big pivoting dusting brush that has fairly soft bristles, but like my big dusting brush on my Kenmore Progressive canister, it doesn't concentrate the suction much. There's the typical big crevice tool, and a turbo tool with rubber fins to grip pet hair rather than bristles. I didn't use any attachments other than the dusting brush as my mom never uses attachments on uprights, as she rather use a canister.

I didn't see the filter but the bagless container seems to be well designed with a button to release the dust. There's a green indicator window that changes to red when the filters need to be checked.

The wheels are rubber coated.

Of course as a rewind it has a cord reel which is a nice feature.

Overall not a bad vacuum at all for new.
