Hello all, I have a Hoover Senior 612 and a Hoover Junior 1224 that both want new hand grips as the old ones are a bit mucky and battered. However I dont know how to go about removing the old ones without ripping/breaking them nor do I know how to go about fitting the new handle grips. Any advice/help on how to do this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Kind Regards, Jake McIntyre

Hi Jake

It's easy to get them off. You'll need to put that part of the handle in hot water. The glue, etc will soften and pull right off.

Jake,

I have a very close friend who lives in North Canton, Ohio, home of The Hoover Company. We are 'brothers from other mothers'. He has helped me with so much. It also makes sense: heat will melt/soften the glue.
Good luck.
