I broke down and treated myself to a Rainjet for my E2 Black Rainbow and I was so excited to use it! But when I followed the instructions and set it up to use, it would squirt a couple of squirts and then quit and the red light by the hose connection on the Rainbow would flash 4 times.

I’ve tried Googling the error flash codes and can’t find this documented anywhere. So do I just have a defective Rainjet? My PN works just fine. I even tried switching out the one wand piece you have to use with it thinking it might be a connection problem. No good.

I’ve notified the seller on EBay so hopefully I can return it. I just hope it’s not something wrong with my Rainbow!

Try googling the model number and 'service manual' or 'repair manual.' The manual should have an explanation of the trouble codes.

Does your Rainbow worknormally with the tools that came with it? I have this model and the codes are in its owners book.

Troubleshooting options:

Prevents the user from turning the Rainbow on and having the power nozzle start while the trigger is in the "locked-on" position. (Solid Light);
Prevents the power nozzle from being overloaded by objects in the brush roll. (Blinks 2 Times, Repeats);
Determines when the electrical connections are wet. (Blinks 4 Times, Repeats);
Determines if there is a problem with the electrified hose or wand connections. (Blinks 6 Times, Repeats).

Thanks for that

4 flashes.... so that means the electrical connections are wet. I wonder what would cause that? Maybe a fault in the device or the hose itself?

Success!

The eBay seller came back and suggested there might be a leak in the supply tank. And sure enough, the rubber seal was wrinkled just a tiny bit. When I let it dry out then put it back together, success!! Happy to get to use my now functioning Rainjet. Taking it up to our summer place in Lake Cumberland for the Independence Day holiday weekend!
