Are there ever things that remind you of vacuums. For me, for some reason certain songs would remind me of particular vacuums, but I don't know why.

Or are there other things that remind you of vacuums?

Today I was driving and had actually gotten lost. There are sections of streets named after birds, cars, indian tribes, etc.
When I got lost I was driving in the car section of streets and on some roads in the woods there's actually a Singer Street and next to it a Sunbeam Street. I know those are classic cars, but the names actually made me think of vacuums or other kitchen appliances, rather than cars. I mean, streets like Corvette, Triumph or Citroen definitely make you think car, but Singer and Sunbeam make me think of vacuums more than anything else.

I'm pretty sure Singer and Sunbeam are going to conjure images of sewing machines and toasters for most people, not just us. But I get your point. It's strange how memories become associated to certain odd things.

Across the state line from us, in CT, there's a "presidential" neighborhood.
All of the streets named after presidents.
It may be wrong of me, but when I see Hoover Lane, the president is not the first thing I think of!

And since the houses on that street pretty much date to the 1960s, it conjures up images of the cool '60s vacuums, appliances, colors, cars, etc.

Actually, the house we live in was built in 1965, but there's very little left of the original style.
It was updated by the original owners, and now reflects more of a 1980s/1990s vibe.
I'd love to be able to "remodel" it back to looking mid 60s little by little, but I don't really see it ever happening.

Sorry. Got a little off track.
That's my ADLAC again.

In Chicago there are "Bissell" and "Kenmore" streets, possibly others!

And there's the Rush song "Turn the Page" where both the words "vacuum" and "Windtunnel" are included in the lyrics.

The only thing I can think of that reminds me of vacuums, when I go down a street that a friend or relative lived on, their vacuum always comes to mind first. I guess a chance to test drive other's?
