Date of manufacture...
There is nothing on the base plate label that indicates date of manufacture.
The Kirby Sentria was made from 2006 to 2012.
The date of manufacture is determined by the serial number stamped into the metal motor housing just above where the mini emptor connects to the exhaust port.
Example: 2110702356
First digit 2 = plant code Second and Third digits 11 = Year of manufacture. In this case it's 2011 Fourth and Fifth digits 07 = Month of manufacture. In this case it's July Sixth thru Tenth digits = number of machines made so far that month. In this case it's 02356 or the 2 thousandth 3 hundred and fifty sixth machine made so far in the month of July 2011.
Hope this helps you to decipher the date of manufacture of any Kirby from the Heritage II up to and including the Avalir.

Just what I needed, thanks sptyks. The Mini Em-Tor motor was installed in 2010 through 2012 Sentrias. Can a Mini Em-Tor be installed in 2006 to 2009 Sentrias? Is it worth the upgrade? | ||
