I searched the forums and haven't seen anything new posted about this machine since February, so I thought I'd start a new thread, but...

Holy cow! Has anyone seen photos of the Lux International S115? This is a brand-new version of the Lux Intelligence aka Aerus Guardian Platinum. I realize that it's probably just a minor color and trim change to the current Intelligence/Guardian Platinum, maybe with some upgrade or changed features, but IMHO the colors really pop. I've always liked the look of the Platinum, but for some reason, it just looks a little better, more modern in white to my eyes.

I've avoided the Aerus Guardian Platinum primarily because I've been put off that it's not made in the USA and isn't a purebred Aerus product. However, if Aerus were to introduce this color scheme, I'd have to buy it. To be honest, I almost think they should re-color the Legacy and Classic lines to match this IF the Platinum debuts this color scheme... go back to white bodies with grey trim, but maybe color the top trim panel silver (like the Guardian Ultra) to match the new S115.

Pic for reference. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone has heard any additional buzz about Aerus eventually offering this machine or not (or any changes to their other canister lines).

As others have posted, it would be cool if Aerus would go to metal telescoping wands. Honestly, I'm not worried about the tools. We can keep the same floor brushes, power nozzles, dust brushes, etc., but I think our wands should get upgraded if we get new colors on our machines in the near future.

Is that a braided hose?
They wouldn't seriously go back to those, would they?
Or have they already?
I'm a big fan of Electrolux/Aerus, but I haven't kept up with their most recent offerings at all.

Yes the hose is braided
I agree that it looks amazing. Powerhead is completely new.
It would be logical them to bring it to the US.

If you want it now, there is always option to buy it from the Germany. It's 220 volts, so the step up converter will be needed.

Thanks for the link! I agree that it makes sense for this vac to eventually land as an Aerus product. I'll probably just wait for that. I don't like the Aerus plastic wands, but the Aerus floor tool is slimmer (for going under furniture) and has that heritage look, and there's always the off-chance that they'll build the next Aerus version in the US. They were supposed to eventually build the current Guardian Platinum here and never did, so a new version might remind them that they'd planned to do that.

As I surfed Lux International's website a month or so ago, I discovered that it's Aerus's parent company, which explains why all Aerus's products over the last 15 years or so all carry the "Lux" moniker.

I've read that the LGP's parts are made at LI and assembled at the Bristol facility and presume that the Chinese company that owns Eureka, Midea Group (subsidiary of AB Electrolux?), maintains production of the LL, LC, FP at its Texas and Mexico plants and ships them to Bristol for assembly. Anyway, Aerus is no longer a manufacturer.

So, just as the LGP was unveiled in the U.S. a couple years after the LI in Switzerland (and the Sauber Intelligence in Australia and NZ), it will likely be with the S115. I'm thinking that Aerus's plan is to launch it during its 95th anniversary year in 2019. We'll see.

It's been 5 years since Aerus introduced its black, stainless steel, & white floor care line, so an update is due.

For some reason the Electroluxes and Luxes sold here in Finland (and Europe) alwas came with braided hoses unlike the American versions. The only exception was the Globaltek branded US Electrolux models suited for Europen voltage and sold here for a while in the 1990s. The European version of power head has also always been different. So I thinkt that if they introduced the S115 model in the USA it would use a different hose and power head.

I hope they don't go back to white. I hate white vacuums. I still think the stainless steel and black is a nice touch.
